
Film screening and discussion“Suicide prevention in Berlin – status and perspectives”
Political kick-off event for Berlin’s World Suicide Prevention Day: On the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day, Caritasverband für das Erzbistum Berlin e.V. and Berliner Fachstelle Suizidprävention invite to the event “Suicide Prevention in Berlin – Status and Perspectives”.
The event will focus on the question: What is missing in Berlin’s suicide prevention – and what impulses are needed now? To kick off the event, the short film “Echter Mann” will be shown. Afterwards, representatives from politics, healthcare and civil society will discuss perspectives for effective suicide prevention in Berlin:

- Prof. Dr. Birgit Wagner, Medical School Berlin, Chair of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy
- PD. Dr. Peter Bobbert, President of the Berlin Medical Association
- Dr. Claudia Wein, CDU parliamentary group, Deputy Chairwoman of the Health Committee in the Berlin House of Representatives
- Christine Gerlach, Berlin Police, Head of the Suicide Prevention Working Group

- Benjamin Ochel, district representative at the Caritas Association Berlin, focus: mental crises and suicide prevention
