Our advisory board

The Berlin Suicide Prevention Center is supported and advised in its work by an advisory board. The members combine expert knowledge and different perspectives on suicide prevention. The members of the advisory board are:

  • Prof. Dr. Barbara Schneider – National Suicide Prevention Program, Germany (NaSPro)
  • Dr. Thomas Götz – State Secretary for Social Affairs, Health, Care, Integration and Family at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Integration and for Consumer Protection of the State of Brandenburg
  • Uwe Brohl-Zubert – Der Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband Landesverband Berlin e.V.
  • Dr. Katharina König and Prof. Dr. Susanne Knappe – Werner Felber Institute for Suicide Prevention and Interdisciplinary Research in Health Care e.V.
  • Dr. Johanna Baumgardt – (Peer) researcher social psychiatric care research, survivor experience
  • Nora Fieling – author, peer counseling, survivor experience
  • Can Oral – musician, visual artist
  • Dr. Katja Mériau – Federal Association of Psychosocial Centers for Refugees and Torture Victims (BAfF), Germany
