[U25] Symposium “Target group-specific suicide prevention”

[U25] Germany invites you to the symposium “Target group-specific suicide prevention”. The aim is to raise awareness of the individual needs of different target groups – from young people and older people to queer people, refugees and men.

In the morning, specialist presentations will open up new perspectives. In the afternoon, a panel discussion will address the question of how a target group-specific suicide prevention law should be designed.

Program:

  • 9.00 a.m.: Arrival and exchange
  • 9.30 a.m.: Welcome
  • 9.50 a.m.: Opening presentation: Target group-specific suicide prevention
  • 10.20 a.m. Target group 1: Young people
  • 10.40 a.m.: Target group 2 Queer people
  • 11.00 a.m.: Short Q&A session followed by a coffee break
  • 11.30 a.m.: Target group 3 Men
  • 11.50 a.m.: Target group 4 Older people
  • 12.10 p.m.: Target group 5 People with refugee experience
  • 12.30 p.m.: Short Q&A session followed by a lunch break
  • 1.15 p.m.: Return
  • 1.20 p.m.: Panel discussion – Target group-specific suicide prevention law now!
  • 2.15 p.m.: Closing
  • 2.30 p.m.: End

Participation is free of charge. The number of participants is limited to 120. Registration deadline is Monday, October 13, 2025.
